100th Birthday Anniversary of Walter Zachariasiewicz
Walter Zachariasiewicz, one of the initial members of the Board of Directors of our Foundation established in 1981 by Blessed John Paul II, celebrated his 100th birthday in Washington D.C. (USA), where he resides. The Polish Ambassador to the USA with the financial assistance of the Philadelphia and Washington Groups of Friends welcomed the close friends of Walter in the Embassy for a warm and full of fun, good music and splendid food reception. A warm letter of congratulations to the jubilator was received and read from a Member of our Board, Archbishop Jozef Kowalczyk, Primate of Poland.
We are all very proud of Walter’s many years spent in the service of our Foundation in Rome and in the USA. Mrs. Glembocki from Washington’s Group of Friends and Richard Krzyzanowski from the Philadelphia Group offered to Walter our warmest thanks for his long years of service to our Church and to our Foundation. God bless you, dear Walter, and keep you in His holy hands as you continue, without interception or hesitation, your work for the glory of our Faith and the country of origin of many of us – our beloved POLAND.
