Exhibition PONTIFEX
Itinerant exhibition “Pontifex” was welcomed in the Bavaria’s capital by the Polish Catholic Mission Munich and the John Paul II Foundation Chapter from November 18 through November 30, 2011.
The exhibition is related to the Holy Father’s John Paul II three pilgrims to Germany and was located in the St. Joseph Church in the centre of the city, in Schwabing. Munich is the 30th city in Germany which has the exhibition. The exhibition consist of 100 plates with the citations in Polish and German that were taken from speeches and homilies which John Paul II delivered during His visits in Germany.
The opening celebration was held on Sunday November 20, 2011. Before the opening of the exhibition, a Holy Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Szczepan Wesoly, of many years Polish Episcopal Conference Delegate for the Pastoral Care for Emigration. Thousand faithfuls participated in the Holy Mass.
