On Sunday, 15^th April, the fourth meeting of the "Power and Beauty of Faith" series was held in the hall of the Polish St. Stanislaw Church in Rome. The series constitute a preparation for the Year of Faith and describe the teaching of John Paul II’s about the Creed. Rev. prof. Łukasz Kamykowski of UPJPII in Krakow delivered the speech on "The Church of God in the Wednesdays catechesis of John Paul II."

In the first part of the lecture, the speaker pointed out that John Paul II raised the issue of the Church in the catechesis on Jesus Christ who is Founder of the Church. This same issue was raised in the catechesis on the Holy Spirit who is “the soul of the Church”, the source of its holiness and dynamism.

The Polish Chaplaincy in the Diocese of Rome is pleased to announce that on May 1^st of the current year, at the anniversary of the John Paul II beatification, at St. Peter Basilica, a solemn Mass in Polish will be celebrated at 10 a.m.  The Holy Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Zenon Grocholewski.

Du 22 au 23 mars 2012, un colloque international intitulé Jean-Paul II, législateur de l’Eglise : fondements, innovations et perspectives aura lieu à l’Université de la Suisse Romande à Lugano. Le colloque est organisé par la Fondation Jean-Paul II (Centre de Documentation et d’Etudes du Pontificat à Rome) et l’Institut de Droit canon et comparatif de Religions (Faculté de Théologie à Lugano).

L’objectif du colloque est de montrer l’apport et le rôle de Jean-Paul II dans l’élaboration et la compréhension du droit canon. Le Code du droit canon pour l’Eglise latine (1983) et le Code de canons des Eglises Orientales (1990) ont été promulgués durant son pontificat.
