On Sunday, 15^th April, the fourth meeting of the "Power and Beauty of Faith" series was held in the hall of the Polish St. Stanislaw Church in Rome. The series constitute a preparation for the Year of Faith and describe the teaching of John Paul II’s about the Creed. Rev. prof. Łukasz Kamykowski of UPJPII in Krakow delivered the speech on "The Church of God in the Wednesdays catechesis of John Paul II."

In the first part of the lecture, the speaker pointed out that John Paul II raised the issue of the Church in the catechesis on Jesus Christ who is Founder of the Church. This same issue was raised in the catechesis on the Holy Spirit who is “the soul of the Church”, the source of its holiness and dynamism.

Easter is the time during which we again experience the Paschal Mystery. From the time of our christening, the Resurrected Lord is with us and gives us participation in His life: He fills us with joy and gives us power.

The Polish Chaplaincy in the Diocese of Rome is pleased to announce that on May 1^st of the current year, at the anniversary of the John Paul II beatification, at St. Peter Basilica, a solemn Mass in Polish will be celebrated at 10 a.m.  The Holy Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Zenon Grocholewski.

22-23 марта текущего года в Лугано в Университете итальянской Швейцарии прошел Международный симпозиум на тему «Иоанн Павел II – законодатель Церкви».

Организаторами симпозиума выступили Фонд Иоанна Павла II (Центр документации и изучения понтификата в Риме) и Институт канонического и сравнительного религиозного права Богословского факультета Лугано. Финансовую поддержку оказали Швейцарский Национальный фонд научных исследований, а также иные организации и частные спонсоры.

Целью симпозиума было показать оригинальный вклад и роль Иоанна Павла II в создании и понимании церковного права. Во время его понтификата состоялась обнародование Кодекса канонического права (1983) и Кодекса канонов Восточный Церквей (1990).
