Dear Members and Friends of the John Paul II Foundation,

We have a pleasure to invite you to participate in the Projections of Religious Films at Holy Rosary Church in Passaic, NJ (6 Wall Street, Passaic, NJ 07 055).

Every Sunday of Lent, the John Paul II Foundation, New Jersey Chapter cordially invites you to screenings of films with religious themes. The projections will be held in the church hall immediately after Lamentations.

(Lamentations – 3:00 p.m.; Screening of the film – around 3:50 p.m.)

The New Jersey Chapter of the John Paul II Foundation in New Jersey, soon after recommence of its activities under the new leadership, welcomed the year 2011 with new plans and hopes. Already, in January, there were some indications that this year will be special, Holy Father Benedict XVI announced plans of the celebrations to elevate to the altars our Patron, at that time still the God’s Servant John Paul II, on May 1^st. The beatification announcement added new energy and already in February, a carnival-ball was organized to raise funds for the Foundation. At the same time, cooperation with the Polish Radio 910 in New York was established and we were able to talk about Foundation’s goals, our plans, encouraging listeners to join us.

On Saturday November 5^th, at the hall of the Holy Rosary Church in Passaic, a multimedia presentation related to unveiling of the plaques to honor John Paul II at the bottom of the Colca Canyon by the waterfalls which bears His name (Cascadas de Juan Pablo II) in Peru took place. The presentation was organized by the Polish-American Travelers Club from New Jersey directed by Jurek Majcherczyk and under the John Paul II Foundation New Jersey Chapter’s patronage. All gathered guests had a chance to learn about the history and see the beauty of the Colca Canyon and John Paul II Waterfalls, to the degree the multimedia presentation made it possible. The Colca Canyon was discovered and conquered by the group of Polish students from Cracow under Jurek Majcherczyk direction, that was, without any doubts, one of the biggest discoveries from the second part of the twentieth century.

April 16^th, 2011 (Saturday) - at 10 AM - Holy Rosary Church in Passaic, NJ  (6 Wall Street, Passaic, NJ 07055) Holy Lent Retreat organized by the John Paul Foundation of NJ. It will start with the Mass at 10 AM followed by the Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament and Homilies by Father Chris Wieliczko who will visit us from Rome.
