Recipients of the John Paul II Foundation Scholarship

From September 21-27, 2012 the John Paul II Foundation welcomed stipend recipients from the East. The largest group of young people was from Ukraine and Belarus, but there were also students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Moldova.

The John Paul II Foundation have so-called scholarship program for students from Eastern Europe, which aims to educate future intellectual elites of Central and Eastern Europe at the Catholic University of Lublin. The Foundation entirely covers the costs of education and scholarships for 139 students from 8 countries. They are staying at the John Paul II Foundation House in Lublin, which is owned by the Foundation. To date, 900 awardees completed their bachelor and/or master degrees and returned to work in their homeland. Three of them received professor titles and 67 received doctoral degrees.

Pope's message to the John Paul II Foundation

"Do not cease this good work" – is the title of a new book published by the Pontificate’s Center for Documentation and Research in Rome. It is a collection of papal speeches addressed to the members and friends of the John Paul II Foundation and to all who have witnessed the activities of the Vatican institution within 30 years of its existence.

Published speeches are not only a record documenting how over the years changing social, political and historical conditions the Foundation, which was founded and led by Bl. Pope John Paul II, interpreted and faced challenges, but also show the role of the papacy in the integration of Poles in the homeland and abroad, and in the promotion of Polish Christian culture in the world. The collection also includes speeches of Benedict XVI, showing the task of preserving and passing the heritage of the pontificate of blessed Pope John Paul II for future generations.

Visit to Vatican of our Phoenix, AZ. Friends

On 26 of September 2012 we were host to a group of Friends from Phoenix, Arizona, USA. We spend many enjoyable days with them. We were particularly pleased to welcome Nick and Mrs. Simonetta, parents of six wonderful children. They attended a reception with the Holy Father in St. Peter Square in the Vatican and participated in Pope’s prayers. Also they visited Vatican gardens and Museum.

Evening of poetry and music “Totus Tuus” on the anniversary of the beatification of John Paul II

On May 6^th, 2012 in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Giesing, a solemn Mass was celebrated on the anniversary of the beatification of the Servant of God, John Paul II.

Gathered Faithfull, through prayers and songs, were giving thanks to Our Lord for the elevation to the altars of the Polish Pope.

After the thanksgiving Mass, a music and poetry program entitled “Totus Tuus” was held. The program was organized by the John Paul II Foundation Chapter.

Relics of the blood of the Blessed John Paul II in Munich

Cardinal Stanisław Dziwis gave PMK in Munich relics of blood of the Blessed John Paul II. The solemn ushering of the relics will be held by Bishop Czesław Stanula on Sunday June 17, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace (Giesing).
